MAPS ASSIGNMENT PART II:
CONTOUR MAPS

What you need to do:
  1. In an orderly fashion, work your way through the following topic:
    • Contour Maps
      1. Introduction
      2. Labeling Contours
      3. Depression Contours
      4. Contour spacing and steepness
      5. Gradient

    For the above:

    • Read and understand the material
    • Take all the quizzes
    • Check your answers using the answer-checking devices.

  2. Click on the red button. Carefully examine the fully worked-out answer to a map problem similar to the one you have to hand in for this assignment. It is also similar to a problem that you will be asked to answer on the final exam.

    1. Click on the button and determine the length of the scale bar and the value of the contour interval that you are to use.
    2. Follow the instructions on your printout.

  4. WHAT YOU HAVE TO SUBMIT:Transfer the information from completed Contour Maps Work Sheet 3 (CM-3) to Contour Maps Submission Form (CM-3S).
    Email the completed submission form to your instructor.
